Yesterday I went to work for a couple of hours - to man the phones over the lunch period. I really quite enjoyed myself as I also managed to do something helpful and mark some timesheets off on the computer. Nothing taxing, but made me feel I was earning some money. I am going to work from home chasing the debtors - sending emails and printing letters to the office. So that makes me feel a whole lot better. However I was totally pooped and fell asleep in front of the TV afterwards and came too feeling very woozy. It was so bad that Ian had to drive us to the college for parents evening - it's all of a hop, skip and a jump away, talk about lazy - but my feet would not have carried me there.
Today - we are about to leave for Chichester to go and buy a bra! I am hoping to find one that is more comfortable than the bodice, that keeps the lump in check and at the same time keeps the "falsie" in place - so therefore the bra will have a pocket in it! No more falsie popping out of place and saying hallo to the world at inappropriate moments!
I have been given yet more appointments - On Monday I am going to be pumped full of radio active material and then my bones are going to be scanned - for signs of the cancer having spread. Not something that I want to find out really - not scared of the scan - I will just lie there with my eyes shut and this is not the tunnel scanner. Apparantly it will show up "hot spots" - those places that may be a problem. I am expecting lots to show up as the hot spots can also be arthritus - and I have plenty of that in places.
On the 20th I am going to go and have a CT scan - now that is the one I am really not looking forward to as that is the tunnel - but again if I keep my eyes closed it might help.
This weekend is going to be very busy as Jack has two concerts! Saturday night is an open air one (please let it stop raining) in the local town gardens and is a picnic affair. This is a posh do - he has to wear a DJ!! Then on Sunday it is the end of year concert for the County Band - always a great concert and I wouldn't want to miss it. So I may be very pooped by Sunday evening.
Will update when I get back from Chichester!
